The next day, Victoria dialled Tara Jacob’s number.

“Tara! How are you?”

“Oh, hello, Victoria. I’m well. How can I help you?”

“Luca and Charlotte got to Ireland okay?”

“Yes, he texted me earlier. He’s nervous about his speech, even though he won’t admit it. I’m sorry I didn’t make it over now. Craig, the groom, is my cousin, you know. It would have been nice to catch up with the Irish side.”

“Tara,” Victoria cut her off, “are you available for lunch on Saturday?”

Tara paused. “Well, Gabriella is manning the gallery as Luca is away so I guess I could slip away for an hour. Where are you thinking?”

“I don’t know. Maybe some sushi? I’ll text you.”

“Sure, that sounds good. Say around two?”

“Perfect.”

“Is everything okay?”

“Why sure. I just wanted to touch base about our own wedding. Not long now.”

Tara laughed. “Not long at all. Just a few weeks, right? God, time has flown.”

“I’ll be in touch with reservation details. Bye, Tara.”

“Bye.”
